Members can
be suspended for a few reasons, the main ones being Medical and Financial. The
suspension fields are handled by the AusCycling Member Services Team and cannot be
altered by clubs. Members must contact AusCycling to have suspensions
removed.
A suspension will show up on a member’s contact
profile, as shown above.
You can
export your club’s member list, ensuring you have the suspension fields ticked,
if you want to find a list of suspended members within your club (see below).
When the csv export comes through, you can filter these fields to remove the
blanks and ensure only suspended members are displayed.
Suspensions
will also show up on the member’s digital membership card. It will display on
the ‘back’ of the card with the ‘Suspension End Date’ field (see image below).
Financial
Members are
generally suspended for Financial reasons if they fail to make a payment on
their Payment Plan membership. Members are communicated with multiple times by
the Member Services Team via email prior to the suspension being placed on
the account.
Members
suspended for financial reasons may ‘renew’ their membership and show as
Active. If the Suspension fields are still showing, they are still suspended
and are not permitted to race and are not covered by insurance.
“ARREARS OWING - FAILED PAYMENT” will display in the Suspension Reason field in these
cases, and the Suspension End Date will be 09/09/9999 if you are checking digital
membership cards.
Medical
When an
incident report form is completed and it notes that an individual has had a
suspected or confirmed concussion, a medical suspension of 2 years will be
applied to the Member's profile.
If you do
have a concussion, you are not able to return to riding until you are cleared
by a Medical Professional.
