Key Steps

1. Add required membership fields 0:00

  • Open the membership setup area after pricing, restrictions, discounts, and surcharges have already been configured.
  • Identify any additional member information you want to collect during purchase.
  • Add an existing custom field as a required field if the information must be completed before the purchase can continue.
  • Use this step for fields such as member details or other data you need captured during onboarding.

2. Add an upsell product to the membership journey 0:31

  • Decide whether the membership should include an optional or mandatory upsell item.
  • Select the upsell product you previously created in the upsell product section.
  • Enter the product details:
    • Product name
    • Pricing type
    • Dollar amount
    • Whether tax should be applied
    • Maximum quantity a member can purchase
  • Add the upsell product to the membership journey so it appears during checkout.

3. Make the upsell required or optional 1:09

  • Choose whether the upsell should be required or not required.
  • If required, the member must purchase the item to complete the journey.
  • If optional, the member can skip the item if they do not want it.
  • Confirm the setting matches your business rule before continuing.

4. Add a declaration for terms and conditions 1:24

  • If your club has terms and conditions that members must accept, add a declaration checkbox.
  • Write the declaration text that members will see during the purchase journey.
  • The document must be stored externally to JustGo, add a hyperlink to it in the declaration text.
  • Use the checkbox to capture member agreement to your club terms and conditions.

5. Save the membership configuration 1:53

  • Review all added fields, upsells, and declarations before finishing.
  • Save the membership configuration.
  • Confirm the changes are saved successfully so they appear in the purchase journey for members.

Cautionary Notes

  • Do not forget to save the membership after making changes; otherwise, the new fields will not appear in the purchase journey.
  • A declaration checkbox can capture agreement, but the physical terms document cannot be stored directly in this area.
  • If you use a hyperlink to terms and conditions, verify that the link is correct and publicly accessible.
  • Make sure any required upsell item is intentional, since members will not be able to proceed without purchasing it.
