Create a Custom Email Template for Membership Automated Emails in JustGo

Objective

Explain how to create and save a custom email template in JustGo’s Email Management area so it can be used for automated membership journey emails. It ensures your organization’s branding, reply-to details, and footer content are correctly configured before use.

Key Steps

1. Open Email Management 0:14

  • From the JustGo dashboard, navigate to Email Management.
  • Use this area for automated emails tied to the membership journey.
  • Do not use the regular Email and Communication tile for this task, as that area is intended for ad hoc emails.

2. Access the Email Templates Section 0:35

  • Inside Email Management, locate the Email Templates section.
  • Review the existing default template if needed.
  • Select the option to add a new template so you can create a club-specific version.

3. Create a Club-Branded Template 0:59

  • Set up the template as your organization’s own branded version.
  • This prevents automated emails from using the default green JustGo styling.
  • Use a clear template name so team members can identify it easily later.

4. Configure the Reply-To Email Address 1:10

  • Enter your organization’s email address in the template settings.
  • Note that this does not change the sender address.
  • Automated emails will still send from no-reply@JustGo; this field controls the reply-to address only.

5. Add and Format the Email Header 1:20

  • Add a header image or logo for branding.
  • Choose one of the following upload methods:
    • Upload a file from your computer
    • Paste a logo image link
  • Select the preferred alignment:
    • Center aligned
    • Left aligned
    • Right aligned

6. Set Title, Colors, and Footer Details 1:50

  • Choose your club’s default colors and settings for the template title area.
  • Adjust sizing as needed to match your branding.
  • Add footer content such as:
    • Email signature
    • Social links
    • Additional custom text
  • Update the bottom text color if required for readability and brand consistency.

7. Save the Template 2:13

  • Review all template settings before finishing.
  • Click Save to create and store the new template.
  • Confirm the template is saved successfully so it can be used in automated membership emails.

Cautionary Notes

  • Do not confuse the two email areas in JustGo:
    • Email and Communication = ad hoc/manual emails
    • Email Management = automated journey emails
  • The organization email entered in the template is the reply-to address only; it does not change the actual sender address.
  • If you do not save the template, your branding changes will not be applied.
  • Be careful not to leave the default JustGo styling in place if you want club-branded emails.
